Sharing a Letter To The Parents

letter to the parents
Like I used to hear it before now, they always say you don't need an adult relationship till you attain some age, for example in Nigeria you need to be more than age 18 or even close to 25 before you won't be challenged when you are found with a female or male friend. But nowadays, things have changed. A small girl of age 16 will stay with the boy of close age inside one room and their parent won't even border to check on them for some hours and when the girl is now pregnant they will be wondering how that really happened.

Yes, actually now I really don't advise parents to be harsh on their wards but you know we youths need good monitoring and without that, we will easily do what we are not supposed to do. talking about my personal experience, whenever am asked not to do something, that is when I used to feel like doing it the most. But with good monitoring, we are going to adjust.
Though some of us are really stubborn but don't give up on us and with time you will see change.

Some even go the extent of focusing on their male because they believe they are the one to control the family when they grow up. they only focus on teaching their daughters how to cook, wash plate etc. though we thank god this has reduced in Nigeria, some are still doing it.

I am sharing this letter with Parents

As you are teaching your daughters how to
cook, wash and do house chores don't
forget to teach your sons also. It's just
shameful that many boys can't wash
common plates very well.
As you are teaching your daughters how to
be a submissive wife don't forget to teach
your sons how to be a loving, caring and
respectful husband.
As you are training your boys in school
don't forget to train your daughters also.
Their education doesn't end up in the kitchen.
Dorah Akunyili, Ngozi Okonjoiwela,
Chimamanda Adiche, etc., these are women
in the position of power and influence. Their
education didn't end up in the kitchen.
As you're teaching your daughters not to
talk when their husbands are talking, to be
obedient don't forget to teach your sons not
to yell at their wives, to be respectful.
As you're teaching your daughters how to
be a wife don't forget to teach your sons
how to be a husband. It's obvious, with
things that are happening these days, that
many men lack home training.
Thank you
